Self Defence Workshops
These three-hour one-off workshops combine theory and practice, in the form of study and drills. Students will be taught about the psychology of a predator and how not to be a victim; how to avoid dangerous situations using situational awareness, robust body language, and correct voice projection; an anatomical study of the body’s weak points and natural weapons (such as where to strike a potentially larger and stronger attacker and with which part of the body); escapes and counters to common kinds of attacks such as grabs, strangles and bear hugs; taking the initiative and surprising an attacker with pinpoint, aggressive and accurate striking.
I have over 30 years experience training in various martial arts as well as relevant experience in the military and security sectors. The techniques and knowledge that I teach have been used successfully in real life situations.
